The Indian Lake region suffered significant tornado damage this spring. As a gesture of goodwill to our lake neighbors, our past president Keith Westrick reached out to see if there was anything we could do to help, and they indicated they needed help replacing trees that were destroyed at Moundwood and Fox Island.
The LIA executive board voted to donate $3,500 to replant trees, and that donation was matched by the Indian Lake Development Corporation, the Indian Lake Watershed Project, and the tree supplier, ultimately raising $14,000 to replace the lost trees. The planting will be held in the fall.
The images below depict past president Keith Westrick presenting the check and the future tree planting locations.
