Algae Warning Signs Posted at GLSM

The State of Ohio is posting algae warning signs at the beaches and boat ramps on Grand Lake St. Marys, as current microcystin levels exceed the 8 ug/L threshold. The City of Celina will continue testing weekly, and if levels drop below the threshold for two consecutive weeks, the signs will be removed. Despite the current levels, Grand Lake water quality efforts continue to progress, evidenced by the success of wetland installations around the lake.
