Thank you to Cargill for donating toward the new West Bank shelter house!

Cargill, Incorporated recently donated $6,641.40 to be used for the construction of a new shelter house adjacent to the ADA fishing dock on the west bank of Grand Lake St. Marys.

The West Bank Shelter House project is a joint effort between the Lake Improvement Association and the Grand Lake Recreation Club, who also partnered on the ADA fishing dock. A new playground funded by the LIA and multiple community partners will be installed nearby.

“The Lake Improvement Association would like to thank Cargill for their generous support. The shelter house will serve as the centerpiece for a new recreation area on Grand Lake that also features the ADA fishing dock and playground, and Cargill is instrumental in bringing this project to life,” said LIA President Brian Morris.

The shelter house is currently in the planning stages with construction expected to begin in late summer.
