Celina Lions Club recently donated $5,000 to be used for the construction of a new shelter house adjacent to the ADA fishing dock on the west bank of Grand Lake St. Marys.
The West Bank Shelter House project is a joint effort between the Lake Improvement Association and the Grand Lake Recreation Club, who also partnered on the ADA fishing dock. A new playground funded by the LIA and multiple community partners will also be installed at the site.
“The Lake Improvement Association is incredibly grateful for the Celina Lions Club’s generous support. The shelter house will serve as the centerpiece for a new recreation area on Grand Lake that also features the ADA fishing dock and playground. This project wouldn’t be possible without the Celina Lions Club’s commitment to enhancing our community,” said LIA President Brian Morris.
The shelter house is currently in the planning stages. For more information, contact the Lake Improvement Association or Grand Lake Recreation Club.
